Meet the Directors

CAM-SCI has unrivalled experience in the development and operations of science parks. Based in Cambridge - the heart of the UK's 'knowledge economy' revolution - for over ten years the CAM-SCI team managed the strategic development and operations of the Cambridge Science Park, Europe's oldest and leading commercial science park. CAM-SCI has since worked with science parks across the UK, Europe and the USA.

Dr Sarah J Tasker

Dr Sarah Tasker is the Founder-Director of CAM-SCI. Sarah served an 'apprenticeship' as Manager at the Cambridge Science Park where she delivered a wide range of science-related projects including delivery of the UK's first dedicated Nanotechnology Centre for Cambridge University.

Sarah is currently on secondment as Chief Executive of the new Liverpool Science Park. Over the past five years, Sarah has taken Liverpool Science Park from initial concept through to the first two phases of delivery and operation. Since opening in 2006, Liverpool Science Park has become the UK's fastest growing science park and has won several awards for best practice.

Sarah has written a number of foundational reports for knowledge-economy developments in the UK. She is currently researching the impact of globalisation on knowledge economy development and international trends in knowledge-brand creation.

Sarah's research interest is the success factors of science/innovation parks and knowledge-economy developments. In a sector where ideology is sometimes prioritised over delivery, Sarah's research is focused on how science parks and City Regions can create additionality, strong brand-values and market advantage through pragmatic best practice.

David J Lupson

David Lupson is one of Europe's foremost science park practitioners. Responsible for the Cambridge Science Park for ten years, David facilitated the growth of a number of knowledge-clusters including, at the time, Europe's largest commercial life-sciences and biotechnology cluster.

David has a wealth of experience in the delivery of science-parks and related projects which he has applied to a large number of projects in the UK and Europe.

David was part of the pioneering team that delivered the first purpose-designed commercially leased laboratory in the UK. He has overseen the development and operations of more than 750,000 sq ft of laboratories and science park facilities, managing science park assets with capital values over £300m.
